Friends more than enemies
Siew Wei, Kylie, Ivy and me. Wondering how we could become good friends instead or enemies/rival? Siew wei and kylie are colleagues, same for me and ivy. We are 2 grps of pple tt work in different stores that does the same thing which is rental of movie and dramas. Both the shop that we're working in is located rather near each other (walkable distance). Usual in such a situation, the workers in different stores tend to be more aware of the opposite. Never would u expect them to become good friends.
BUT here's a live example!!
Not that we always get to see each other and chit chat, we seldom. Yet, sth happened today that enlightened me to post it here. Itz off day for ivy and me. We decided to go over to the other store to look for siew wei and kylie and started wondering if their boss is around as the situation may be awkward. But nvm. We decided to give it a try. Reached. Their boss wasnt ard. The four of us started chit chatting abt some HK dramas and actors and started gossiping abt some rumors. Suddenly, there's this Indian man that came in to the store and wanted to rent some show but itz rented out. He den gotten angry saying wad kind of lousy shop it tis. doesnt serve customers those that they want and blah blah blah..
Dunno for wad reason, i sort of talked back to him telling him that no one will know who when where and what time he will wann to rent the show. I even told him that if he's not happy abt it den go other place and rent it. Followed on, ivy shoot him as well. She asked him to be mindful of wad he say as there's cctv ard to prove him for assault or sth lyk tt. Tt fellow got a little 'hot' tt he almost wanted to fight, but he looked up at the cctv and pointed at me and ivy. I even told him whre the shop tt im wrkg is located, he can find me dere anytime. Wondering how come i became so daring to an indian fellow who is double my size??!!
Tt irritating fellow walked off. We turned back to look at the counter and saw the expression on siew wei and kylie's face. They asked why did we did tt as it doesnt even bother us at all. What a good qn asked!! I also dunno y!! Maybe becos of the friendship??? Aft tt, we started joking and laughing ard and even turned the place into a karaoke lounge!! Every1 started singing all the cantonese song in the show moonlight resonance and started discussing abt the ending.
It doesnt mean that working in the same industry within the same vicinity, the workers of different stores cant be good friends. Is a matter of how u look and treat others. IF u really hope tt u can befriend with some, treat them the way u wann to be treated. U'll benefit. =)))
